Start live tracking
- Open the competitive session, then click "Live Tracking" in the Game Day Tools box.
- Load the players from the roster (up to 50 players tracked per session).
- During the match, record the events and adjust the ratings: everything is time-stamped.
Each sport has its own interface
Live tracking is not a generic screen: each sport gets its own scoreboard, built on the rules of its own discipline.
- Football: player ratings and the official periods (1st and 2nd half).
- Fencing: a touch sheet per bout (touches scored / received), the live trend and the FIE cards.
- Judo, BJJ, taekwondo...: the scoring of the discipline itself: ippon and waza-ari in judo, IBJJF points in BJJ, the World Taekwondo scale, and a submission or a KO is an immediate win.
- Tennis, table tennis, badminton, squash: the score is counted point by point, up to the set or the game won. In table tennis and squash, you only say who wins the rally: the board knows who serves.
- Handball, volleyball, basketball, ice hockey, rugby: the sanctions follow the rules of the sport. In handball, one warning per player, and the third 2-minute suspension or the blue card disqualifies; in football, the white card starts its 10 minutes; in volleyball, the yellow card is the warning (no point), the red card gives the point and the serve to the opponent, an expulsion takes the player off for the rest of the set and a disqualification for the rest of the match, and the match is played in sets (25 points with a 2-point lead, fifth set to 15). In basketball and ice hockey, the duration recorded is that of the whole match, not of its last period.
- Ice hockey: minor, major and misconduct penalties start the penalty box clock in playing time, and the "Lines" bar puts a whole line on the ice in one tap (see the article).
- Team kata: one shared score for the three karateka, set in steps of 0.1 as in individual kata.
- Archery: the board is filled in arrow by arrow (M, 1 to 10, X); set points in recurve and barebow, cumulative total in compound.
- The configuration comes from the sports your club has set up on the Sports page: nothing to configure match by match.
End a bout
For a bout (kumite, randori, sparring, a fencing or a boxing bout), the "End bout" button is at the top of the screen and, full width, just below the scoreboard. The window opens with the score recorded on the board during the bout: correct it if needed, then confirm. The result and the duration are saved. In MMA, the bout is judged round by round: you enter the final score yourself.
The archery scoreboard
In an archery session, the board is filled in arrow by arrow: one end is 3 arrows, each entered as M (miss), 1 to 10 or X (the inner 10). In recurve and barebow, the end won is worth 2 set points (1 each on a tie), and the first to 6 wins the match. At 5-5, a one-arrow shoot-off decides: the X beats the 10; if the values are equal, the arrow closest to the centre wins, and it is the judge's decision that you enter on the board. In compound, there are no sets: the cumulative total of the 15 arrows is the result. The bow type is that of the session; you can still change it on the board before the first end. The "End Match" button saves the result recorded on the board (6-5 after a shoot-off).
The squash scoreboard
In a squash match, you only say who wins the rally. Before the first point, the board asks "Who serves first?"; after that it knows: the winner of the rally serves the next one, and the winner of a game serves first in the following game. It also shows the service box: the box alternates while the server keeps the serve, and the server chooses it at the start of each game and at each hand out (the change of server).
When a player asks for a let, tap their name, then the decision: Let (the rally is replayed, the score does not change), Stroke (the point goes to the player who asked) or No let (the point goes to the other player). The board keeps count of the lets, the strokes and the no lets of both players; your player's record keeps the strokes won, the strokes conceded and the lets.
At the end of a game, the break between games counts down on the screen; "Resume play" or the first point of the next game closes it. Before the first point, choose the format: best of 3 or 5 games. Game ball and match ball are announced, and the conduct penalties (Conduct Warning, Conduct Stroke, Conduct Game, Conduct Match) apply their effect to the score. These additions are on the web scoreboard.
And children? A deliberate limit
Paak does not rate children under 12: on a session of an under-12 age group (U8, U10, U12, kids...), live tracking is not available. On the web, the tracker gives way to the notice "Performance tracking is not available for this age group"; in the mobile app, the tracking button is not shown. At that age, sport should be about discovery and fun; measuring individual performance creates a pressure that helps nobody improve.
For 12 to 18 year olds, tracking exists, but Paak first asks you to confirm one simple thing: the ratings are there to encourage and support, never to rank young people against each other. Every young athlete develops at their own pace; a rating today says nothing about their potential tomorrow. The age group is read from the team of the session (U14, U16, juniors...), there is nothing to configure.
After the match
- The ratings feed the Athlete tab of each member's record.
- The career statistics (matches played, trends) update automatically.
