A team's « Breast health » card
- Open Teams, then the team. Click Edit and set its Gender to Women or Mixed. Save.
- The team page then shows the « Breast health » card: the sports bra and how to check its fit, breast knocks to record like any other injury, and the signs that mean seeing a doctor.
- Depending on the team, the card adds your sport's protection rule (fencing, boxing, rugby), a line for teenage girls (under-13 and under-17 teams), and for an adult team the screening programme of your club's country.
The team's gender, set by the club, is what shows the card. Paak uses no data about any player.
In October, on the Training page
From 1 to 31 October (on your club's clock), the Training page shows the card « October, breast cancer awareness month: what your club can do », for every club. It offers five steps: inform your members, open a session to everyone, keep a record of the action, welcome people after cancer, and stay fair (say how much a collection raises and which organisation receives it). For a club in France, it also names the federation programmes of your sports when one exists (fencing, canoe and kayak, rowing, swimming, hiking).
The « Prepare the message » and « Log the action » buttons show for club administrators only; coaches see the rest of the card.
Send the message to your members
- From the October card, click Prepare the message. Or open Newsletters > New Newsletter and click Breast health message (October).
- The subject and the text fill in: moving regularly, knowing your breasts, the screening offered in your country, and getting back to sport during and after cancer. The official sources are at the end. The message carries no advertising and no link to Paak: it is your club's message.
- Read it, adapt it to your club, choose the recipients, then send or schedule it.
{firstName}and{clubName}are replaced by each member's first name and the club's name.
Keep a record of your action
An open session, a walk, a stand: log it in Partners, Territorial actions tab, type Sport and health, with the number of people reached. The October card's Log the action button opens that tab directly.
Frequently asked questions
Does Paak store health data about my members?
No. The cards show general information, chosen by the type of team and the club's country. Nothing is asked or stored about any person.
Do men's teams see the card?
No, it shows on women's and mixed teams. The member message says that men can be affected too.
My country has no screening line. Why?
Paak shows only verified official programmes (France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Luxembourg, England). Elsewhere, the card suggests asking a doctor what is offered.
Where are the figures and the sources?
In the Côté Coach guide Breast health: sports bras, knocks, signs to have checked, physical activity and breast cancer, screening country by country, sport after cancer.
