Every fight feeds the karateka's profile: belt, style, discipline (kumite, kata or both), weight category, and metrics computed automatically. The columns are karate's, not a team sport's.

Shotokan / WKF — points scoring
WKF points scoring (yuko 1, waza-ari 2, ippon 3), Olympic categories, senshu (first point) advantage, counter-attacks.
Kyokushin — full-contact
Full-contact, no punches to the head. Win by ippon (KO or two waza-ari), hantei or shikkaku. Tameshiwari as a tie-breaker.
Shitō-ryū — 60+ kata
WKF scoring + a unique stat: number of kata mastered (60+ repertoire). Kata lineage tracked (Itosu, Higaonna, or both).
Gōjū-ryū — close-range
Throws allowed (2 pts), Sanchin assessment, close-range strikes, sweeps, body conditioning. 2-minute matches.
Wadō-ryū — evasion + jujutsu
WKF scoring + unique stats: tai sabaki (body evasion), paired-kata score. Exclusive formation: paired kata (tori/uke).
Technique is scored too.
Kata is tracked with its own scores: technique (precision, power, rhythm) and athleticism (speed, balance, coordination), both individual and team.

Does Paak support all 5 karate styles?
Yes. Shotokan/WKF, Kyokushin, Shitō-ryū, Gōjū-ryū and Wadō-ryū are natively configured with their own scoring rules, sanctions and weight categories. Kyokushin — full-contact — has its own dedicated page.
Can I score a kumite fight live?
Yes. The kumite scoreboard offers real-time scoring with an aka/shiro split-screen, yuko (1 pt), waza-ari (2 pts) and ippon (3 pts) buttons, sanction tracking and ippon detection — from a phone or tablet at the edge of the tatami.
Are grades and belts managed?
Yes: 20 belt levels (10th kyu to 10th dan), refereeing qualifications (C, B, A, A International) and teaching grades (Sempai, Sensei, Shihan), with award dates and renewal reminders.
