Switch the module on, team by team
- Open Settings > Features > Physical preparation & prevention (Paak Pro) and switch on "Use the module".
- Tick the teams that use it. Nothing changes for the teams you do not select.
- Choose what to switch on: Physical tests, Injury prevention, or both. Save: the page then shows your next three steps.
Run a test day
- Read the protocols in Drills, Tests tab: set-up, equipment, how to run it, what to record, and the sources.
- On the team page, create a session and choose the type « Test day » (offered only for the module's teams).
- Open the session and click "Choose the tests". Paak puts them in the published order by itself: short tests first, maximal efforts last, with about 5 minutes of rest before them.
- Click "Print the field sheet": it carries the reminder, the layout and set-up of each test, what to record, the age rule of the maximal tests and a blank grid per athlete. No birth date is printed.
For the beep tests (20 m shuttle, Yo-Yo, 30-15), use the official recording of the protocol: Paak does not provide the audio.
What is offered at each age
- Under 10: playful challenges only; the result is for the child and their family.
- 10 to 12: short or skill tests, compared only with the child's own results. No maximal test.
- 13 to 15: maximal tests are possible with parental consent, ticked for each young athlete when you enter the result.
- 16 and over: every test.
- Everywhere: no ranking of children, no public results, no selection from results.
Paak works out the age on the session date, and checks the rule again when the results are saved.
Enter the results
- In the session, click "Enter results" and pick a test: one field per athlete, sized for a phone.
- Set the variant (for example the sprint distance) and, for timed tests, how it was timed: stopwatch, phone app or timing gates. Hand timing reads about 0.2 s fast.
- Click "Save the results". Entering them again replaces the previous values for the same test and session.
Read the progress
- On the athlete's page: the last result, the change since the previous one and since the start of the season, and the dated list of results. No curve drawn through three points.
- Only what is comparable: if the protocol, the variant or the timing method changed, Paak says so and does not compare.
- "Within the usual variation": shown only for tests with a published retest figure (Yo-Yo IR1, 30-15 IFT). Elsewhere, a small change may simply be day-to-day variation.
- On the team page: how many athletes were tested and the median change. No list of names, no ranking.
Injury prevention
- With the Injury prevention level on, the prevention warm-ups in the session plan show their evidence level and the recommended weekly dose.
- The "Availability and training load" level (adults only, with each athlete's own consent) is not available yet.
FAQ
Do I need Paak Pro?
Yes. The module is switched on with Paak Pro. Clubs that do not switch it on see no change.
Does Paak show a VO2max or age norms?
No. Some sources convert a result into an estimated VO2max: it stays an estimate, and Paak does not show it for children. Paak publishes no norm tables: each athlete is compared with themselves.
Do members see their results online?
No, the results stay in the club's management space. Nothing is published on the club's public page or in the member space.
