Instructor checks, tracked for you.
Anyone in regular contact with minors should be checked: coaches, initiators, volunteers running the kids classes. In France, the law of 8 March 2024 makes this the club's responsibility. Paak tracks each instructor's clearance and alerts before it expires.

Does Paak track safety equipment (ropes, harnesses, helmets)?
Yes. Every piece of club equipment has a record: name, type, size, condition, price, quantity and low-stock alert. On safety gear you set a retirement (scrap) date and Paak sends automatic reminders at 30, 14, 7 and 0 days. Ropes, harnesses and helmets are only examples: it is up to you to say which items a date applies to. Paak enforces no standard and keeps no inspection log: it stores the date you set and reminds you before it falls due.
Do members get these reminders too?
No. Equipment retirement reminders go only to the staff team, by in-app notification and email. Members are not recipients.
Can members be lent and sold equipment?
Yes. Paak handles lending and distribution of equipment to members, return tracking and payment collection (Mollie, cash, cheque). You can build bundles (kits) and track VAT on sales.
Do I need a federation licence to use Paak?
No. Your national federation (in France, the FFME) stays your reference for licences, official competitions and coaching diplomas. Paak lives alongside it and runs day-to-day club life: members, dues, time slots, attendance, communication and equipment.
Does Paak offer a live competition scoreboard for climbing?
Not today. Paak names bouldering, lead and speed to organise your groups and communications, but it does not yet offer live competition tracking for climbing. The whole club core (members, dues, attendance, equipment) works from day one.
