Most "multi-sport" platforms model handball as football without goalposts, or basketball without hoops. Wrong. During the match, one tap adds a field goal, records a 7m throw (attempted / scored / saved), or counts a goalkeeper save — attributed to the player, the team score updates on its own.

The defensive choice shapes everything: pressing, block, recovery. Paak encodes the three main systems, plus the 7-outfield attacking variant.
Flat 6-0 defence
6 defenders on the 6-metre line. Closed, pivot-proof defence. Ideal against a wing-heavy opponent.
In Paak: default formation. Defensive stats: % shots stopped at 6m, pivot fouls.
5-1 defence
5 defenders at 6m + 1 advanced at 9m (often on the opposing centre back). Closes long shots, forces inside play.
In Paak: configurable formation. The advanced role is tagged as "9m defender".
3-2-1 defence
3 staggered lines (3 + 2 + 1 advanced). High, aggressive defence — typical of Balkan handball. Recovery-demanding.
In Paak: three lines traced. Key metric: steals.
7-outfield attack
Goalkeeper substituted for a 7th outfield player. Legal offensive overload since 2016. Risk: empty-net goal on turnover.

Does Paak support the handball 7v7 format and 2 × 30min halves?
Yes. 7 players on court (6 outfield + 1 goalkeeper), 2 halves of 30 minutes for seniors, with shorter durations adapted for U9 through U19 age categories.
Are 2-minute suspensions and the disqualification count tracked?
Yes. Each 2-minute exclusion is timestamped and attributed to the player. The 3 × 2min counter automatically triggers a disqualification alert. The blue card (written report, since 2016) is tracked separately.
Can 7m throws and goalkeeper saves be scored live?
Yes. Each 7m is logged as attempted / scored / saved. Each goalkeeper save is logged and attributed to the player, 7m saves included.
Are federation licences tracked?
Yes. Licence number, expiry date, age category, referee grades (trainee to national) and coach certifications. Automatic alert before expiry.
Does Paak replace Gest'Hand, MyCoach by FFHandball or HelloAsso?
No. Gest'Hand remains the FFHandball's federal tool for licences, league play and the electronic match sheet. MyCoach by FFHandball is the federation's official free digital solution for day-to-day team work (calendars, call-ups, messaging) — you keep it if your club is 100% handball and that scope is enough. HelloAsso, integrated inside Gest'Hand, collects licence payments fee-free.
