Publish your club's own waiver text and every new registration requires reading and signing it — typed name, timestamp, the exact version signed and its digital fingerprint are preserved, and the signer receives a copy by email.
Publish your waiver
- In Settings → Registration link, find the Waiver / document to sign card.
- Paste the text your attorney or governing body provides — Paak deliberately ships no template: whether a waiver holds up varies sharply by country and state, and the text is legal work, not software.
- Click Publish. From that moment, every new public registration requires the signature.
What the member signs
On the registration form, the member (or the parent/guardian when registering a minor — the checkbox says so explicitly) scrolls the full text, types their full name and checks the agreement box. Typing the name and checking the box signs the document electronically; the form says so in plain words.
The evidence Paak keeps
- The exact version signed — the full text, its version number and its SHA-256 fingerprint.
- Who and when — the typed name, the timestamp, and for minors which parent contact signed.
- A copy to the signer — emailed immediately, with the full text and the signature details.
- Immutability — a signature is never overwritten; re-registrations keep the first record.
On each member's page you see at a glance whether a waiver is signed, by whom and when.
Updating the text
Editing the text publishes a new version. Existing signatures stay bound to the version they actually signed — old versions are kept forever so every signature stays verifiable. New registrations sign the new version.
FAQ
Does a signed waiver protect my club in court?
That depends on your jurisdiction and your text — not on Paak. Whether a pre-injury waiver (especially one a parent signs for a minor) is enforceable varies by state and country. Paak preserves the proof that your document was read and signed; the document itself is your counsel's or governing body's work.
Do existing members need to sign?
The waiver is collected at public registration. Members who joined before you published one have no signature on file — their page shows it plainly, so you can collect it at renewal.
Can I stop requiring it?
Yes — deactivate it from the same card. Existing signatures and all versions are retained.
