Step by step
Count one afternoon, in five steps. The card « YouCan Pay, your club's own payment account » (menu Management, Settings, Payments) shows them with, for each, where you stand. Rather do it together? The card offers a 15-minute video call with the Paak team.
- Open an account with YouCan Pay. On youcanpay.com, in the club's name, by an adult living in Morocco. YouCan Pay checks the documents before live payments open; meanwhile a test mode is available at once.
- Copy your two keys. In the YouCan Pay dashboard, menu Developers, API Keys: the private key (it starts with
pri_) and the public key (pub_). To try first without real money, take the test pair (pri_sandbox_andpub_sandbox_). - Allow app.paak.club. Still in YouCan Pay, payment settings, add app.paak.club to the allowed hosts. That is where your members enter their card; without this line the form answers « host not allowed ». This step counts for live payments; in test mode the form does not check it.
- Paste and test in Paak. On the card, pick Test mode or Live, paste the two keys, click « Test and connect ». Paak checks the keys with YouCan Pay and saves only keys that work, encrypted. The card shows what YouCan Pay says about the account: live payments open or not, identity verified, daily cap, share held. In test mode it also gives you an address to paste in YouCan Pay so Paak is told about payments: menu Developers, Webhooks, « Add a new webhook », with Sandbox mode on and the three events for a payment succeeded, failed and refunded (
transaction.paid,transaction.failed,transaction.refunded). The dashboard's Sandbox mode switches off at each new login: switch it back on to see your test payments. - Your first payment. Send yourself a 25 MAD payment link from a member's page (YouCan Pay refuses test amounts that are too small) and pay it. In test mode: the card
4242 4242 4242 4242, any future expiry date, any code. Live: a real card, then refund that payment from Paak. When the membership turns « paid », the chain works; switch to the live keys if you were testing.
What the treasurer needs to know
The money goes to YouCan Pay, not to Paak. Each payment lands on the club's YouCan Pay balance; you pay it out to the club's bank account (or CashPlus) from their dashboard, with the « Withdraw » button. Paak writes the journal line and the receipt, and marks the member paid.
- YouCan Pay's fees (read on 21 October 2026 on youcanpay.com/pricing): 3.9% + 2 MAD per Moroccan card payment, charged by YouCan Pay to the club. Paak's fee: 0, on every plan.
- A share held: YouCan Pay normally keeps 30% of a week's volume for 30 days (fraud, disputes), then returns it.
- A cap: by default 5,000 MAD a day and 35,000 MAD a week; higher tiers are requested from YouCan Pay. Before a season start, ask for the tier before sending the links.
- A refund is made from the payment's page in Paak, in full or in part; the membership goes back to pending. A payment already paid out to your bank is refunded from the YouCan Pay dashboard.
What your members see
The payment link opens a Paak page in the club's name, with the amount and a card form secured by YouCan Pay; the bank may ask for a confirmation (3-D Secure). Once the card is accepted, the member lands on the usual confirmation page. In test mode a « Test mode » band says so. Paak never sees the card number.
If something goes wrong
- « YouCan Pay did not accept these keys »: check each value, and that test keys go with test mode (and live keys with live).
- The form says « host not allowed »: step 3 is missing. Add app.paak.club to the allowed hosts in YouCan Pay and reload the payment page.
- « Connection lost, paste new keys »: YouCan Pay refused your keys (changed or revoked). Paste the new ones; nothing is lost, payments recorded by hand go on.
- A payment stays « pending »: in test mode, check in YouCan Pay (Developers, Webhooks, Sandbox mode on) that the webhook carries the address the card gave you and the three events. Live, Paak registered it for you; wait a few minutes, then write to us.
- The payment link has expired: an unpaid link expires after one hour. Send a new one from the member's page; Paak closes the old one.
- A member's card is declined: their bank said no; nothing was charged, they can try again on the same page.
To stop: « Disconnect » on the card erases your keys from Paak. Your YouCan Pay account stays yours; members can no longer pay online until you connect again.
