Members, teams, attendance, coach certifications: Paak runs the admin of your hockey club. On the bench, one tap puts a whole line on the ice, with every player's ice time and the penalty box timed. Priced in Canadian dollars, hosted in Europe. Free up to 100 members; the live game tracker is part of Paak Pro.
Hockey changes in seconds, on the fly. Three or four substitutions one by one: nobody keys them in time, and everyone's ice time ends up wrong. In Paak you set your lines up once; during the game, one tap on the line puts it on the ice.
On the team page, the "Lines" card offers four forward lines, three defence pairs, two goalies, two power play units, two penalty kill units and the extra attacker. A player can be in several lines, and you can add your own units. "Fill from positions" proposes a first set: nothing is saved until you press "Save lines".
Every planThe "Lines" bar sits above the "On the ice" tab, one pill per line, in the browser of your phone or tablet as on a computer.
Paak ProIts players come on, the ones they replace go off, in a single tap. "Undo" in the notice, or the tracker's undo, reverses the whole line at once.
Paak ProWhat exists, and what does not yet. The line change is part of the live tracker, so of Paak Pro; setting up lines is possible on every plan. Lines are set up on the web: there is no lines editor on the phone yet. In the Android and iPhone app, the line change arrives with the next version published on the stores, which will read the lines set up on the web.
Paak records what you do on the ice; it does not replace your competition's change procedure (time allowed, no change after icing), which stays Hockey Canada's and your Member's. And Paak does not rate children: live tracking is not offered for age groups of 12 and under (U7, U9, U11).
The live game tracker is part of Paak Pro. Each action is one tap: a goal, then up to two assists, a shot, a hit, a blocked shot, a save. The clock restarts at zero every period and you pause it at stoppages.
Penalty minutes (PIM): Paak applies the table of your country's rule book. A game misconduct is 10 minutes for a Canadian club (Hockey Canada Playing Rules 2026-2028, Rule 4.8(a)); the IIHF rule book counts 20.
Hockey Canada sets the national playing rules (Playing Rules 2026-2028). Its 13 Members apply them and add their own: divisions, classes, contact rules. All of them are in Paak's federation registry.
Hockey Québec requires every member, official and team list to be entered in the HCR software (Hockey Canada Registry): administrative regulations 2025-2026, art. 2.1. Paak is not connected to it and does not replace it: registration is still done in HCR.

On a player's profile, the age division is picked from Hockey Canada's list: U7 (M7), U9 (M9), U11 (M11), U13 (M13), U15 (M15), U18 (M18), U21 (Junior). Age is counted on 31 December. Hockey Canada renamed its divisions for 2025-2026 registration (Novice, Atom, Peewee, Bantam and Midget became U9, U11, U13, U15 and U18): only the names changed.
A class (A, AA, AAA, B...) is a league, not an age: it decides the contact rule and is not in the list. Hockey Québec still prints the labels M7 to M18 and Junior in its 2026-2027 checking guide. Hockey Canada's 2026-2027 age chart was not yet published on its page on 14 October 2026: the ages above are those of the 2025-2026 chart, the only one shown that day.
Paak decides none of these rules. Here is what the texts say, with their edition.

In the member portal, one card shows the emergency number (9-1-1), the Canadian Safe Sport Program of Sport Integrity Canada (1-866-971-2777, by phone or by online form, in English and French) and two help lines: Kids Help Phone (1-800-668-6868) and 9-8-8. The Québec lines and each province's child-protection numbers are in the help article on child protection in Canada, which also says where 9-1-1 is not available.
Hockey Québec writes the Rule of Two into its administrative regulations 2025-2026 (art. 3.10): at least two coaches or bench staff are present for a meeting with a minor player at the arena, one of them of the same sex as the player, except in a medical emergency. It also requires a criminal-record check at a staff member's first registration, to be redone at least every three years (art. 10.11).
Coach certifications and checks, with expiry dates. Coaching certifications, training courses, first-aid certificates and police record checks sit on each person’s record with their own date, and Paak warns you 30, 14 and 7 days before one lapses (by email from Paak One). Your club and your federation decide what is required; Paak keeps track of it.
Canadian dollars rather than euros, dues paid by card into your club’s own Stripe account, and your coaches’ certifications tracked with their own expiry dates. Here is where Paak fits, and where it stops.

Online fee collection is not available here
Our payment partner only opens accounts for organisations registered in the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. A club registered here therefore cannot collect its membership fees online through Paak.
Everything else works: per-member due dates, recording payments you receive, renewal reminders, an overview of late payments, accounting and receipts. You collect the money your usual way. Your own Paak subscription is paid by card as normal.
No. Registering players, coaches and teams is done in the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR), which Hockey Québec requires of its members in its 2025-2026 administrative regulations. Paak is not connected to it: it keeps what the registry does not, the life of the club: members, attendance, dues tracking, coach certifications, and the game tracker.
Yes. You set up your forward lines, defence pairs, goalies, power play and penalty kill units and the extra attacker on the team page. In the live tracker you tap the line: its players come on, the ones they replace go off, and one undo reverses the whole change. Each line shows how long it has been on the ice or how long it has rested. The live tracker is part of Paak Pro; setting up lines is possible on every plan. Lines are set up on the web: there is no lines editor on the phone yet.
Yes, in the browser of your phone or tablet, nothing to install. You start the game from the bench and enter actions as they happen; the clock restarts at zero every period and you pause it at stoppages. The live game tracker is part of Paak Pro. The scoreboard is also in the Paak app (Android), where it works offline too.
Yes: minor (2 min), major (5 min), misconduct (10 min) and game misconduct. For the first three, Paak starts the penalty box clock in playing time, locks the player's entry and lets you confirm his return to the ice; a running minor or major takes a player off the strength allowed on the ice. Penalty minutes (PIM) follow your country's rule book: for a Canadian club a game misconduct is 10 minutes, as Hockey Canada writes it (Rule 4.8(a)); the IIHF rule book counts 20.
Your club creates its own Stripe account from Paak and your members pay by card. The money lands in the club’s Stripe balance and Stripe pays it out to your bank account; Paak never holds your money. Paak’s fee on the Free plan: 1.2% per payment, capped at $2.50; 0% from Paak One. Stripe’s own fees (2.9% + $0.30 per payment with a Canadian card) are charged by Stripe to the club. Interac e-Transfer and cheques are still recorded by hand.
Yes. On your team's session, choose an age band, a duration (45, 60, 75 or 90 minutes) and a theme out of seven: skating; puck skills and passing; shooting; small-area games and team play; goaltending; contact and checking; off-ice conditioning. Paak builds a minuted session (warm-up, two mains, a small game, a cool-down) from 44 drills that use the skills, the game forms and the steps the federations' published programmes name, cited as such. They are exactly the drills of the Côté Coach ice hockey guide, free to read. Every drill that touches contact names the gate of the federation, the category and the class. Planning, editing and saving the session is free; printing the sheet and club-authored drills beyond 5 are in Paak One.
Paak offers no prevention programme for ice hockey, on purpose: no exercise programme has been tested on ice hockey players with an injury outcome (literature review of 14 October 2026). What the research supports is a rule, not an exercise: in Canadian studies, leagues that do not allow body checking at 11 to 12 years old recorded fewer injuries and fewer concussions. Safety rules are Hockey Canada's and your Member's: the age of body checking, mandatory equipment, the concussion protocol.

Your members’ payments go through Stripe, on your club’s own Stripe account in Canada: card data never touches Paak’s servers, which receive from Stripe only the status of each payment and of your account, and Stripe may process and store that data outside Canada. How Canadian privacy law applies to your club is for your club to assess: European hosting is a residency and security choice we make, not a compliance claim about your club.
