The software for Swiss taekwondo.
Paak already manages your members, CHF payments (TWINT rolling out), and teams. For Swiss Taekwondo (WT, Swiss Olympic member), it goes further: Kup-Dan progression, dual WT/ITF format, Kyorugi + Poomsae. Complementary to SimplyCompete (global WT platform), never a substitute.
- Complete Kup-Dan tracking — 10th Kup white → 1st Kup red, then Dan, with exam date
- Kyorugi + Poomsae — sparring (PSS scoring manual entry) and form (jury scoring)
- nLPD-compatible hosting — data in the EU, on Switzerland's adequacy list
Swiss pilots open. CHF + TWINT rolling out. Setup in 30 seconds.
Everything a Swiss Taekwondo club manages, in one tool.
Kyorugi with PSS scoring.
WT combat format: electronic protectors (PSS — Protective Scoring System) are the WT international norm. Paak allows manual entry of PSS scores in the tracker. The COMBAT live tracker archetype (Session 193) is built on the Kyorugi format.
- Kyorugi (sparring) — PSS scoring entered manually in Paak
- Poomsae (form) — jury scoring entered by the coach at round end
- Both formats handled at SportUIConfig level — Kyorugi + Poomsae

Complete Kup-Dan progression.
10 Kup grades (10th white → 1st red with black stripe) then Dan (1st Dan black belt and beyond). Colour progression is slightly variable between WT and ITF clubs. Paak tracks progression at the athlete profile with exam date.
- Kup-Dan + belt tracking at the athlete profile, dated exams
- Multi-format — WT + ITF in the same club, or taekwondo + other sections, one platform
- Scheduling — training, Kup/Dan exams, Kyorugi + Poomsae competitions
- Parent convocations by email with RSVP
SimplyCompete + Paak — complementary, not competing.
Swiss Taekwondo at taekwondo.ch is the Swiss national federation, WT-affiliated (World Taekwondo, IOC-recognised, Olympic) and a Swiss Olympic member. The global WT platform is SimplyCompete GMS for member management; no public API at Swiss level. You keep SimplyCompete. Paak does not try to replace it — it lives alongside.

WT, ITF, Kyorugi and Poomsae.
Swiss Taekwondo is WT-affiliated (Olympic). Several organisations coexist: Swiss Taekwondo (WT) + ITF clubs that may operate separately + TAS (Taekwondo Association Switzerland) as an additional body. Paak supports both formats without duplicating the sport configuration.
WT The Olympic
Swiss Taekwondo is WT-affiliated, Swiss Olympic member. World Taekwondo is the IOC-recognised federation. Kyorugi scoring via electronic protectors (PSS).
ITF The parallel
International Taekwondo Federation: parallel non-Olympic federation with its own technical rules (different patterns, manual scoring). ITF clubs may operate separately in Switzerland.
Kyorugi Sparring
WT combat format. Electronic protectors (PSS) the international norm. Paak allows manual entry of PSS scores in the tracker.
Poomsae Form
WT form format: technical patterns presented to a jury. Scoring entered by the coach at round end.
Kup-Dan taekwondo progression.
Source: taekwondo standard (variations possible between WT and ITF clubs), verified 2026-05-07.
Note: some WT clubs use a slightly different colour progression (10th Kup white, 9th white-yellow, 8th yellow, 7th yellow-green, etc.). Paak does not impose a rigid progression — each club can configure its own Kup sequence. No medical certificate required at grassroots level (Swiss norm).
Sonderprivatauszug — the Swiss Olympic recommendation.
Switzerland has no direct equivalent to the French law of 8 March 2024. Like every Swiss sports club in contact with minors, your taekwondo club is invited to apply the Swiss Olympic recommendation of the Sonderprivatauszug (special criminal-record extract) for every regular instructor, within the joint programme with the FOSPO "No sexual abuse in sport".
- Tracks each instructor's Sonderprivatauszug issue date
- Automatic reminders 30 / 14 / 7 days before renewal (default every 5 years, configurable per club)
- CSV export in one click
- nLPD-compatible approach — data in the EU, on Switzerland's adequacy list

Frequently asked questions
Is the Kup-Dan system tracked?
Yes. Paak tracks the standard taekwondo progression: 10th Kup (white belt) up to 1st Kup (red with black stripe), then 1st Dan (black belt) and beyond. Grade exams at the athlete profile with date. The exact colour progression may vary slightly between WT and ITF clubs.
Does Paak handle both Kyorugi + Poomsae formats?
Yes. Two WT competition formats supported: Kyorugi (sparring/combat) and Poomsae (form). For Kyorugi, electronic protectors (PSS — Protective Scoring System) are the WT international norm; PSS scores can be entered manually in Paak. For Poomsae, jury scoring is entered by the coach. COMBAT live tracker (Session 193) on the Kyorugi format.
What's the difference between WT and ITF?
World Taekwondo (WT) is the IOC-recognised federation, the Olympic taekwondo. Swiss Taekwondo is WT-affiliated, Swiss Olympic member. ITF (International Taekwondo Federation) is a parallel non-Olympic federation with its own technical rules (e.g. different patterns, manual scoring). ITF clubs may operate separately in Switzerland. TAS (Taekwondo Association Switzerland) is an additional body. Paak supports both formats.
Is there a public Swiss Taekwondo API?
No API at the Swiss level. The taekwondo.ch site uses a custom CMS with Auth0 login. World Taekwondo uses SimplyCompete GMS as its global member management platform. Bridge today: CSV import.
Which age categories are supported?
Standard WT categories (Cadet/Junior/Senior). No mandatory medical certificate at grassroots level (Swiss norm). If Swiss Taekwondo publishes specific grids, the sport seed can be adapted.
