The Swiss Taekwondo landscape

Swiss Taekwondo at taekwondo.ch is the Swiss national federation, WT-affiliated (World Taekwondo, IOC-recognised, Olympic) and a Swiss Olympic member. Several organisations coexist: Swiss Taekwondo (WT) + ITF clubs that may operate separately + TAS (Taekwondo Association Switzerland) as an additional body. The global WT platform is SimplyCompete GMS for member management; no public API at Swiss level. You keep SimplyCompete. Paak does not try to replace it.

What Paak adds

Multi-format (WT + ITF in the same club if relevant), Mollie payments in CHF + TWINT outside the licence (dues, camps, training courses, sponsors), parent communications, club accounting, individual performance.

Honest position

No Swiss Taekwondo-published API directly. No deep integration possible today. Current bridge: CSV import. Paak operates on the club-management layer that SimplyCompete + taekwondo.ch don't cover deeply (CHF dues, parents, club accounting, multi-section).

Swiss taekwondo specifics

Complete Kup-Dan tracking

10 Kup grades (10th white → 1st red with black stripe) then Dan (1st Dan black belt and beyond). Colour progression slightly variable between WT and ITF clubs. Paak tracks progression at the athlete profile with exam date.

Kyorugi (sparring) with PSS scoring

WT combat format: electronic protectors (Protective Scoring System) the international norm. Paak allows manual entry of PSS scores in the tracker. Live tracker COMBAT archetype (Session 193) on the Kyorugi format.

Poomsae (form) with jury scoring

WT form format: technical patterns presented to jury. Scoring entered by the coach at round end. Paak handles both formats Kyorugi + Poomsae at SportUIConfig level.

Dual WT / ITF

Swiss Taekwondo is WT-affiliated (Olympic). ITF clubs may operate separately with their own technical rules (different patterns, manual scoring). Paak supports both formats without duplicating the sport configuration.

Note: some WT clubs use a slightly different colour progression (10th Kup white, 9th white-yellow, 8th yellow, 7th yellow-green, etc.). Paak does not impose a rigid progression — each club can configure its own Kup sequence. No medical certificate required at grassroots level (Swiss norm).
