The SKF runs two federal platforms — Paak complements, doesn't replace.
Sportdata (Herisau, official WKF partner) runs competitions, the Swiss Karate League and rankings since 2009 at sportdata.org/skf. Sports-ID (deployed in 2025) runs members, the smartcard ID and events at sportsid.org. You keep both. The SKF does not use Fairgate — a different integration path than SJV judo or STV gymnastics.

Variations: the Kyu colour progression varies by style (Shotokan, Shitō-ryū, Gōjū-ryū, Wadō-ryū). Examinations are managed per style section. No medical certificate required at grassroots level. Kyu exam fee: CHF 15 (free under 13).
Public SKF Dan Register
Official digital register of Dan holders, public and searchable by name / section at danregister.karate.ch. The skfDanRegisterEntry field is tracked on the athlete profile in Paak.
SKF categories & formats
U12, U14, U16 (Cadets), U18 (Juniors), U21 (Espoirs), Elite. Two formats: Kata (form, judged) and Kumite (combat, WKF arithmetic scoring). Source sportdata.org/skf.
The fight is scored by WKF points, live.
Unlike SJV judo (count-based, non-cumulative): the WKF sums yuko (1) + waza-ari (2) + ippon (3). Every action on a button, from the tatami.
Sonderprivatauszug recommended for sensei.
Switzerland has no direct equivalent to the French law of 8 March 2024, but Swiss Olympic — of which the SKF is a member — recommends the Sonderprivatauszug (special criminal-record extract) for anyone in regular contact with minors, as part of the joint programme with the BASPO/OFSPO "No sexual abuse in sport".

Does Paak replace Sportdata + Sports-ID?
No. Sportdata for WKF competition + Swiss Karate League; Sports-ID for members + ID card. You keep both. Paak is complementary: multi-style, CHF/TWINT off-licence payments, parents, club accounting, club performance.
Is there a public SKF API?
None. Sportdata and Sports-ID expose no public developer API. Dan Register web-only. Bridge today: CSV import.
