Swiss BJJ has no single federation.

At least 4 organisations coexist: SBJJNF (Swiss Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu National Federation), SJJA (Swiss Jiu-Jitsu Association), ISCBJJ Swiss chapter, ADCC Suisse (submission grappling). None is a Swiss Olympic member. The SJV (judo + traditional Japanese ju-jitsu) does not cover Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Consequence: no centralised mandatory registration, no unified API, no federation IT to replace.

No federation IT to replace

No Fairgate, no Sportdata, no Sports-ID on the BJJ side. You start from scratch with Paak.

Fast-growing sport

BJJ is growing fast in Switzerland, with many academies. No unified licensing: a first-mover opportunity for an academy-management platform.

Standalone academy management

Paak is the only tool you need: membership, CHF dues (TWINT rolling out), communication, scheduling, performance, club accounting.

Multi-section (BJJ + No-Gi + MMA)

Many academies also do No-Gi, MMA, Luta Livre. Paak runs several sections under one subscription.

BJJ specifics in Paak

Belt tracking — adults, youths, and IBJJF categories.

BJJ doesn't run on federation exams: the instructor (the academy's head black belt) awards belts and stripes. Paak respects that reality — each academy keeps its own register.

Adults (16+)
White Blue Purple Brown Black
Youth IBJJF (4-15 years)
White Grey Yellow Orange Green

Stripes: 0-4 per belt. No mandatory Swiss federal framework. No medical certificate required at grassroots level (Swiss norm, requiresMedicalCert: false). Automatic transition to the adult system at 16 per IBJJF rules.

Youth protection · Sonderprivatauszug

Sonderprivatauszug — Swiss Olympic recommendation.

Switzerland has no direct equivalent to the French law of 8 March 2024, and BJJ has no unified Swiss federation publishing a formal framework (SBJJNF, SJJA, ISCBJJ, ADCC Suisse coexist without Swiss Olympic recognition). Paak applies the general Swiss Olympic recommendation of the Sonderprivatauszug for anyone in regular contact with minors.

  • Issue-date tracking per instructor — valid / expiring soon / expired
  • Reminders 30 / 14 / 7 days before renewal (every 5 years by default, configurable)
  • One-click CSV export · nLPD-compatible approach, data in the EU

Default cadence in line with the standard practice of Swiss sports associations, configurable per academy.
